MJCCA Intown Collaborates with Chabad Intown and JFGA to Provide Beltline Programming for Atlantas Intown Jewish Community

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA), in collaboration with Chabad Intown, is pleased to announce its new Beltline Programming Initiative. This effort is made possible because of the generous funding by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta (JFGA). For information, call Lauren Chekanow, MJCCA’s Intown Outreach Associate at 678.812.4107, or visit atlantajcc.org/Intown.

“We are thrilled to implement new programming for the Intown Jewish community,” said Chekanow. “This exciting new partnership will utilize the MJCCA’s expertise in providing quality programming, as well as Chabad Intown’s new space on the Beltline, and will help connect Intown families to each other and the greater Jewish community. We are appreciative of the JFGA’s funding for this initiative, without which this could not be possible.”

“By offering a variety of programming at a central location Intown, this initiative will support Federation’s Front Porch Pillars by creating radically welcoming spaces and inspiring Jewish journeys that help the Intown community strengthen themselves and our Jewish community,” said JFGA’s Jori Mendel. “We believe that increasing opportunities for Jewish connections within neighborhoods will lead to micro-communities of engaged Jewish families throughout Intown Atlanta. While the MJCCA’s outreach initiative, MJCCA Intown, will continue to offer pop-up programming, having a consistent location and home base Intown will help create a sense of community and allow for more continuity and repeat engagement.”

“We are so pleased with this new partnership, which will provide a wide variety of new programming for the Intown Jewish community, said Chabad Intown’s Rabbi Eliyahu Schusterman. “The mission of Chabad Intown is to provide opportunities year-round to all, regardless of background, affiliation, or spiritual inclination, to learn about and experience our Jewish heritage. We will continue to bring new programs to the Intown Jewish community, with the help of the MJCCA and JFGA.”
